I need a little tech perspective on this fun project. I have always loved the ol' Ms Photo Editor that came with Office 97 (I think). It worked great on XP and has actually worked pretty well in Win 7 32-bit and 64-bit. It doesn't "install ", per se, but I took the program folder from 98, dropped it into the usual home for it... Program Files (x86), Common Files, Microsoft Shared. Created a shortcut for the desktop. All good.

Yesterday, it stopped showing up on the monitor screen though the program is open acc to the taskbar. Can someone point me in the right direction to troubleshoot this? Sorry for trying to keep this antique working.

Right-click the PhotoEditor icon on the taskbar, then left click Move on the popup menu. If Move is grayed out, then left click on the icon to make it active, and try again.

Press any arrow key and you'll see an outline that represents the current size of the invisible PhotoEditor window. Once the outline is visible, use your mouse or the arrow keys to move it so that its upper left corner is on screen, then click the left mouse button to "set" it in place.

This problem can be caused if PhotoEditor is closed with any part of the window off the left side or upper left corner of the screen.

Antik, thanks!! Once I started playing with the Aero Preview window (move, etc), I found Maximize and that worked! Any idea how I can solidify the print function with Win 7 as sometimes it prints a blank page? That seems a lot more complicated.

    Thanks again~!~!~~~~~~~
