I have Office 97 and love the Photo Editor. Unfortunately, it has stopped printing. It only produces a blank page. I need to cut/paste to Word to get my images printed. Printer works fine otherwise. XP Pro. Any suggestions?? Thx, Lar

PS- It may have started after I had installed an app called PDF Creator. Uninstalling it did not help, though.

You could try System Restore to revert back to a restore point that was created prior to the install of PDF Creator.

Hi Arie, that would work. Problem is that it was weeks before I discovered this problem.

You could try uninstalling pdf creator, uninstalling office photo & then reinstall office photo.

HI Tony, tried to uninstall/reinstall PHoto Editor but still shooting blanks. :(

It was a good idea that I should have thought of myself. Any suggestions as to where else to post? Thanks, Larry

    questions:
    1. what printer is set as the default printer?
    2. when printing from photo editor, do you choose the correct printer?

Hi Tony, I have only one printer. It is the Default Printer and when looking at the printer window in the Print Screen, only one printer is offerred, "hp deskjet 5550 series at USB0001 ". Even Photo Editor recognizes the printer, the page just prints out blank.

Everything's fine from Word, Excel, Printmaster and Printscreen. Thanks.

OK. After editing a photo, can you save it to desktop, open in Windows Picture & Fax viewer & then print?

Tony,Tony, Tony... that was good for me. ;)

I had apparently unregistered WPFV at some time in the past (it must have become an irritant). I found a site that told me how to re-register it (regsvr32 \windows\system32\shimgvw.dll) and now I can print from Photo Editor. I found it odd that I didn't have to reboot to make it effective. It all makes no sense to me. How are they related? THANKS, Lar

Was it as good for you as it was for me?
    (sorry, couldn't resist that response!)
    That's good news!
I guess they are somehow related applications.
FYI, if you don't want to open stuff in WPFV then set another app as default for image types. Myself, I edit in Paint Shop Pro or GIMP, but I dig the WPFV for browsing dirs cause it's lightweight and has next-previous buttons so I can quickly view a dir of imported images from camera.

    I guess "goodness" abounds!!

Tony, how does one open up WPFV without using a file to do so?

Photo Editor is limited in what it can do but the simplicity and the printer sizing options make it a valuable tool. Downside is that it is limited to less than monster file sizes. A huge TIFF will not happen. Manipulations are limited, too.

Never heard of GIMP before. I just started using a freeware image prog call Freestone. So far so good.
