    Hi,

I am not sure it is related...I have this PC for a long time already. I got a new camera and might installed some new features that arrives with the camera. From that time some funny behaviours began:
I cannot copy any MOV file which is more then 300MB.
When I try to play even a small MOV file the Display changes its properties to the less screen resolution and the lowest color quality. The player does not play the file.

Does anyone have any idea what might have happened here?

    Thank you,

Hi IrisBener, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

Are you trying to play the MOV file with Windows Media Player? If so make sure you have Windows Media Player 11 installed. If you don't have Windows Media Player 11 installed then download it from here, Windows Media Player 11.

After Windows Media Player 11 is installed then download and install the K Lite Codec Pack from here, K Lite Codec Pack Standard.

Now you should be able to play MOV files. Also do you use any other media player such as VLC media player, Quicktime, RealPlayer, etc?

Could you play MOV files before you installed the camera software?

    Hi All,
Thank you for your quick answers. I was able to play MOV file for long time already. Yesterday I have found out that opening the VLC player created the Display Problems. I have removed the VLC Player and all others that were on my PC rather then the Media and MV2Players.
I still cannot copy and paste any of the MOV files. But at least it has solved my Display issue.
Tonight I will update my Media Player and the KLite Codec. Will let you all know the consequences. I will also verify that the MOV files are directed to the Media Player as default in the Internet Explorer.
    Thank you
