I'm running Winxp Pro and two monitors on my Nvidia Geforce FX5600, ocassionally when loading a program, the mouse will get frozen on a the screen in one spot. You can still move the other mouse to the other monitor, and you can see it there. If you move it back to the one with it frozen on, you can hold the left button on the desktop and drap and see the selection box.

I have tried reinstalling the drivers, I have the latest ones. Is there a set of Nvidia drivers that work better than another? Thanks in advanced!

If you have two cursors, one on each screen, it means that you have not enabled "Extend my desktop onto this monitor ". Go to Display -> Settings tab. You will see two "pictures" of screens, one has the number 1, the other 2. Click on the picture of screen 2, this will select the secondary display. Check the box "Extend my desktop onto this monitor" (click Apply).

See if that checkbox in the secondary display has "unchecked" itself. If so, I would say that Windows does not like the drivers that are installed for the secondary display.

Select/highlight the secondary display again. Underneath you will see the dropdown box listing XXXXXX monitor on YYYYYY graphics adapter. Check that the monitor is listed correctly. If it says Plug and Play monitor I would see if specific drivers might work. Click the Advanced button and go to the monitor tab, click Change. Look through the list of monitors (drivers) and see if your make and model are listed, otherwise if you happen to have a drivers CD that came with the monitor, run those. If you don't have the CD, put the make and model into a Google search with "drivers" or look up the manufacturer's website for drivers.

It may be a problem with the graphics drivers, in which case I would go to Device Manager and uninstall the secondary graphics adapter. If it is still the same after you reboot, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the graphics adapters (primary and secondary).
