Resolved Microsoft Edge Favourites Issue

Hi all, I've checked the threads and can't see anyone posting this particular issue I have so figured I would see if anyone has come across it.

Turned on my PC today and went to use Microsoft Edge (very impressed with it!) however, it's lost all my favourites apart from the favourites bar! Yesterday everything was fine and they were there and now they're gone! I have tried to re-import from IE but all it seems to import is the favourites bar but not all my bookmarks (yes they are all there present and correct if I load up IE). Anyone have any ideas on what to do, I don't really want to go back to IE or Chrome but Edge seems to be buggy as hell (has frozen on quite a lot of sites and crashed completely a few times).

I have gone to C:\users\*Username*\Appdata\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d 8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\Favourites and they are showing as being there but not showing up in Edge?

Edit: If anyone else encounters this problem I have found a work around which has worked, go to the above directory on your hard drive and delete the folders there (please back them up first before doing this, just copy to desktop is what I did), go back to Edge and click on import bookmarks and fingers crossed they will show up again.
