Today my browse was acting funny (locking up, not responding, etc) so I looked at my MSE history and my last scan (April 24, 2011 at 2:00am) showed everything was fine.

So I updated MBAM and ran a quick scan and low and behold I had Adware and Spyware (relevant knowledge). I checked my installed programs list and it was there alright, installed on April 24. Aparently I downloaded and installed something yesterday, but I don't know what.....nothing else installed yesterday but that.

Anyway, I updated MSE, did a full scan, and it didn't even blink at Relevant Knowledge.

I am a little confused. Shouldn't MSE have caught that?

I think I'll start shopping around for something more agressive while I wait for a reply from people smarter than me.

    Mitch

Both programs aim at little bit different angles.
MSE looks for viruses, MBAM looks for all kind of other malwares.
That's why it's very important to run MBAM once in a while.
