Maybe I won't be switching to Chrome after all

Because IE8 gets bogged down as the day progresses, I was considering switching to Google Chrome. Two "gotchas" have appeared to suggest maybe not.

The minor one is with Norton Security's "Auto fill" capability. I can't get it to talk to Chrome. Although Chrome has a similar capability it's not as easy to use - maybe lack of familiarity is an issue.

The big one is tha lack of compatibility with MSN Games. DW is a big crossword puzzle fan and I print off two puzzles every day. One is the Newsday puzzle, which is carried by the Seattle Times - no problem with that.

The other one is MSN Games' "Infinite Crossword ". I was very surprised to find that it is exclusively linked to IE and "requires IE7 or later ". It is not compatible with any other browser. I guess it's part of Microsoft's "keep it all in house" attitude. Does anyone know how to access Infinite Crosswords outside of MSN games?

From DW's viewpoint, this is a show-stopper. Maybe I use Chrome for everything else, but keep IE8 to get Momma's crossword. Sometime fairly soon, I'm going to have to move on from Widows XP, I guess.

I was thinking of Chrome as an alternative to IE, so the fact that Google is dropping IE8 support isn't a big deal. For searches, I run Bing.

I'm still going to have to keep IE to get DW's crossword.
