max RAM

    AMD phenom X4 955 3.2ghz
    win XP 64-bit
    8gig of RAM

    Motherboard has 4 ram slots with 2 RAM each. Maximum is 16 gig ( 4 gig each slot ). Is there anyway I can go over 16 gig?

    If the stated maximum is 16 GB then there is no way to exceed that on that motherboard.

    the only why your going to get more than 16GB of ram in a mobo is to buy a server mobo with 8 or more dimm slots

    Hmmm... I don't have a server board, but mine does support 24MB with 6 dimm slots.

    I'm running with 12GB, but this would get me to 24GB :D

    As does mine Asus P6T SE, but my pocket does not extend beyond the 6 Gb RAM currently installed :)

    Yea, $1290 for 24GB is crazy.

    I'm happy with my 12GB which I got at around $230 :)
