    [Inactive] Malware I think

    Hi guys
    Im new here.
Have Acer aspire 5532 running Windows 7
Last week picked up a bug which I thought was a malware because it said that my laptop was totally infected and to cure it all I had to do was buy thier anti virus, I believe it was called " antivir " It totally ******* everything. No matter what I tried to open it said the file I was trying to use was infected and wouldnt open it. I tried using Rkill but it did'nt get it. I could'nt even use my cd drive. It shut down my antivirus too.
One week on I switched on the laptop to find it was gone. Everything works fine apart from one thing, I cant log on to internet. laptop is showing connected to router with a good signal and internet access but it wont display any websites. I even tried attaching to router via a cable but no joy. Currently using my old pc to connect via cable so I know router is working at least with cable.
If I go into device manager it's showing a driver issue with "microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter" Could this be the problem? Obviously I cant log onto web using laptop to find wifi driver. Anybody any ideas?
Laymans terms please as I am not very pc literate.
    Cheers Davey

    Hi,

Read this post as indicated at the top of this forum & follow the instructions.

If you can't use your infected computer you'll have to use another one to download the tools, transfer them to the infected one and run the tools. The log files go back the other way...
