I posted this in another forum but have gotten no replies so far so forgive me if you've seen it somewhere else.

For nine years I had TBird remembering the password for collecting mail but having to manually enter the password for sending. That's the way I want it to stay.

    BUT

I recently changed web hosting services and TBird is asking me to manually enter the password for collecting mail. If I enter it for collecting, TBird auto-enters the password for sending as well, until I restart TBird, then I have to enter the password manually again to collect mail.

How do I make TBird remember the password for collecting mail but still require a manually-entered password for sending mail?

In case it matters, I'm still using all the same e-mail addresses and domain in TBird. Only the mail server and ports are different.
