I have this problem with svchost.exe. It multiplies to huge amounts! At this moment I have 83 of them running simultaneously. It's fine for the first 15 min I start my computer and then it's like BAM! svchost everywhere! Any solutions?

Hi Kalace. Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

The first thing I would do is figure out what services the svchost processes are running from. Read this, Svc Host Process.

Its pretty normal to have between 8 and 14 svchost processes running. Having 83 of them doesn't sound good at all. :( Having that many svchost processes running sounds like malware could be involved. Take a look at the file paths of the svchost processes. If the path is anything else other than the C:/Windows/System32 directory that I would definetly suspect that you could be infected with some sort of malware.
