Maintenance Wizard - can it speed up my pc?

I would say that your modem software insists on it, well, no use fighting it. Someone else may have an idea on it.

 

It might be one of those you can't get rid of in msconfig. You might see if it is in the list at Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and if so remove it from there.

If it's no longer needed, couldn't she just search it out and delete it?

If it is necessary to have, she could always restore it.

maybe you have alot of programs open in yor task manager get rid of them
