Resolved Loud fan, slow computer

    I have installed and am running Avast with no problems. What do you suggest in the way of an anti-spyware program? I was running spyware doctor before all the problems started.

    Computer running fine now with no problems so I don't see the point in backing up, reformatting and reinstalling all my programs.

    If the problem re-occurs, I will consider it. Thanks to all for the most excellent help I received here!
