What I meant was, I used two different ways to log out and only one method worked properly i.e. not required to enter Username/Password each time that I visited Windows BBS.

As soon as you click the WindowsBBS "Log Out" link, the WindowsBBS cookie containing your username/password ID are deleted from your system . . . which means you are now logged out of WindowsBBS . . . and which means you will now need to retype your username/password so that WindowsBBS will create a new cookie containing your username/password.

In other words, if you do not ever want to type in your WindowsBBS username/password again, 1) do not ever click the WindowsBBS "LogOut" link and 2) do not let anything else delete the WindowsBBS cookie on your system.

SpywareDr, what you say is absolutely 100% correct and should be adhered too. However, in my case, this has caused the exception to the rule, unless further research is made, findings acted upon and saved.

Something is deleting that cookie. I have not had to log on here in a long time. Do you unplug the power from your PC when you are finished using it?

Yes, each time a computer session finishes, computer is closed down and power switched off at the wall socket, to keep an earth continuity mains plug is not removed from the wall socket. Procedure has been carried out way back to my BBC Acorn computer days.
