[Inactive] Live Messenger (MSN) AVG reports recurring tracking cookies

I have a similar problem to:

    http://www.windowsbbs.com/malware-v...tracking-cookie-atdmt-when-connecting-ie.html

It only seems to happen when logging in an out of windows live messenger (msn) or at least that's when I notice it most. After following the advice and using ATF Cleaner and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. AVG shows several variations of the following problem files:

    C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\user@atdmt[2]

The problem is i get a clear log even though avg shows these problem files - is avg the problem, should I uninstall it?

    My Log:

    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.40
    Database version: 2672
    Windows 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2

This is only a tracking cookie, and for some reason, AVG is oversensitive about that particular cookie.
This issue has been going on for a while, and one would expect AVG taking care of it.
I don't see anything suspicious in your logs, so you either ignore it, complain to AVG, or switch to some other security program.
Since ver. 8.0 I don't like AVG at all.

That's good news if that's the case. Thanks very much. Could you recommend an alternative to AVG? It's really bugging me. It come up with multiple threat detections, refuses to remove them ect.

    Here you go....

    - Avira free antivirus: http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html
    - Avast! free antivirus: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

    - free PC Tools Antivirus: http://www.pctools.com/free-antivirus/
    - free PC Tools Firewall Plus: http://www.pctools.com/firewall/

    - free Comodo Internet Security (firewall + AV): http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
NOTE. During installation, Comodo will also allow you to install AV only, or firewall only, if you prefer to combine one Comodo product with some other product.

If you decide to install Avast, or Avira, make sure, Windows firewall is turned on, or use PC Tools Firewall Plus, or Comodo firewall..
If you decide to install Comodo Internet Security, or just Comodo firewall, make sure, Windows firewall is turned off.

IMPORTANT! Make sure, you use only ONE antivirus, and ONE firewall.
