laptop wifi internet

    hi ,

    what happen was both pc and laptop didnt work no net we phone BT and they said it will sort it self as there intrfearance as im here main pc soem time ok BUT the XP toshiba winxp latop say wifi ok but no lan ethenal connection well laptop never use a conection always been wifi doesnt need a cable i try evry thing but the web pages come up blank asking me to diagnose:eek:.

    any help will do THanks

    ok sorry i was rushing and panicing ,

    mainly latop has wifi and the web page still come up blank when i put the yellow end lead it works we get a web page but still no webpage or wifi or internet with out the lead it is a window xp wifi laptop .

    Check the laptop for a wifi switch. Most have an ON-OFF switch for wifi, and some use a keyboard combination to turn wifi on or off.

    The manufacturer and model number of the laptop may help...

    Additionally if this is your primary or only system then please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions!

    EDIT: If you Toshiba is anything like mine then FN+F8 should toggle wireless on/off
