Keyboard failure,and trying to reinstall Win XP home

wow,thanks for all that info Sparrow.All of you on this board go above and beyond getting the right info to people like me.

I have printed everything out again,and will shoot for the stars one more time.If this doesn't do any good,I am going to tell Dad just to sit it out in the snowbank and let it rot.

If all else fails,I guess we can purchase another one for him.I would hate to take it somewheres and have the bill be more than what I could have bought a new one for.It's not like he needs a super duper one,just one that gets him online and such.

I can not do anymore with the computer til Sunday.With my work hours so long each day,coming home to work on his computer isn't in my program..lol..So please do not think I am leaving you's,I will be back Sunday night or Monday morning.

Silly Question

Is this keyboard a CORDLESS???!!!!! If so you will never get it to work as the stage at which you are at in the reinstall process ----hasn't loaded the drivers for it yet ---you need to put a PS2 keyboard with a cable on it ANY corded keyboard should work ! Hope that helps , but like I said it was just a silly question and I ran into the same problem .
