broni - I wonder if you found anything that could cause Explorer to crash and what it might have been as this was my original complaint.

Also, my PrintMaster graphic programs will no longer load. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your help.

We didn't find anything malicious. We cleaned some garbage.
That's all we do in this forum.
Let me know if those crashes are still present.

As for that program not working I suggest you reinstall it.

Thanks, broni. I am glad to know you did not find anything malicious and will report back if Explorer keeps crashing.

broni - A reinstall of both Avast and PrintMaster worked. Now both are A-OK. I haven't had a chance to check on Explorer yet, but I will.

broni - Sorry to inform you that the Explorer crashing continues. I wouldn't mind so much, except that I lose several of the programs that I have running and must reboot to get them back. [:(]

In this forum, we make sure, your computer is free of malware and your computer is clean :)
Because the access to malware forum is very limited, your best option is to create new topic about your current issue, at Windows section.
    You'll get more attention.

broni - I understand completely, I mention the explorer crashes because Arie sent me here after I posted my explorer problem. We tried to shut down shell extensions to see if crash would not occur but when it did he suggested I post in this forum.

I guess he felt my computer needing cleaning since you did not find anything malicious. I, however, am confused about the problem.

    Thanks for your help.

Yes Arie sent you here, because he turn my attention to one possibly infected file, but unfortunately, it was false positive.

In this forum only I can use prefixes.
I marked the topic as "Inactive" since we didn't solve your issue.
