Interrnet Explorer not working

    I'M USING XP I've partitioned my hard drive and have C drive and D drive.every thing was fine . I use mozilla firefox or IE and have from the start . lately I can't get IE to open on C drive . Works fine on D drive.Apriceate any help.

    As Bill said "What is on what partition? ".

    What is on C drive that you want to open & can't ? Is it a html document ?

    Both C and D partitions Have XP operating systems . I use D mostly when I buy on line.both Partitions have basically the same programs .D is working fine. I do have a problem with my audio on D but that's for later . The C drive problem is can't get Explorer to open, blank page or any thing it starts to open the page then goes away.It opens fine on D partition (and it has been working fine until a week ago tried to restore but no restore points ............deh613

    You ask what was on the Partitions C and D . Each has XP op system . and basically the same programs. I use D when I buy on line mostly. D works pretty well . C's problem is Internet Explorer will not open .It starts to open then quits .
    It started about 3 weeks ago I first tried to restore ,but something wiped my restore points . been scratching my head since. I use MS Security Essentials
    I figured I got a bug So I ran a full scan . I'm clean now. My Fire Fox is working fine . deh613

    System Restore is not a miracle tool. It should really be used as a last resort. It doesn't do everything. On "C" where IE isn't working, go to your Control Panel and then to Programs. Find IE and uninstall it. It will previous version of IE. See if it works then. If so, update it.
