Resolved Installing new memory modules, upgrading graphics card.

    Ij50, one thing that I have never done in the last 25yrs+ is touch the BIOS settings or ugrade as you know can cause deep trouble if you upgrade with the wrong version. HP do very few upgrades of software, any checks to HP usually show no upgrade suitable or wrong version of Windows installed.

    Checking HP support and any updates for the CQ5115uk, was 2010.
