Are you offering to send me them? Or does it mean you got them free?

No the point is you should be able to download the ISO file from Microsoft and create your own Windows 7 DVD without having to wait for Microsoft to ship you a Windows 7 DVD.

Yes. I agree, I SHOULD be able to download a copy free, but I have already related what happened
when I tried. I'll see if there is some other website, but that one plainly said Microsoft. I think
they may have changed the policy since they will no longer support Windows 7.

Well they had Windows 7 ISO links available but now that it doesn't work for you then your only option is to call them and explain the situation to see if they can help.

Their customer service number is 1 (800) 642-7676.

VLP refers to Volume License Program. So you'll need to ask your OEM for media.

I think dougmack is trying to clone a W7 install.

When doing so the boot record partition was ignored.

No partition there to repair with the installation disk.

Sure the programs he bought should have keys and setup.exe's
in backup but.....that's has to be acquired from the source.

Can that partition be created ahead of the main W7 partition
after being omitted by the cloning ?

Probably not. But his valid keys, etc. used would lose the
programs bought.....when W7 did a fresh install then.
    Trying to avoid that.

    So, I don't know.

A little different than XP I'm finding out too.

BTW, your W7 Enterprise, used at the school library today,
    runs quite well.
