Whenever I visit a site that has a lot of flash/active-x, ie espn.com, the information bar pops up and tells me that it is blocking the content and if I want to view the content I have to click and permit it. I checked everyone of my settings, and I can't find one that is causing this. I don't use IE as my primary browser anymore, so I can live with the problem for now, but I would like to have it fixed regardless. TIA

I looked at that thread initially, its suggestions don't seem to work for me. I have lowered the security settings and also reset every IE setting to no avail. The pop-up blocker is disabled.

I compared every setting between my laptop, which has no IE issues, and my desktop, which has the problem mentioned above. There are no differences and yet my desktop gives me the information bar warnings. Any ideas short of an OS reload?
