Just got your latest BootlogXP and it looks good to me. Under 2 minutes to fully load everything. :)

Recheck the items in msconfig that I had you uncheck then reboot. If startup is still normal, you have only to get an antivirus app installed. No harm in trying to reload AVG either. If it again causes a delayed startup, look for another antivirus app. If you're keen on purchasing, I'd recommend the Kaspersky Internet Security suite.

Avast, Avira, AVG, Comodo, PC Tools - they all have freeware versions.

hey am glad 2 b of some assistance.

just like to say im using eset nod32 antivirus at mo and not really had much of a problem.. and i think it has smallest footprint on ram usage than other antiviruses. and i think these antiviruses add delay 4 bootin up cuz of sum boot sector scan. which you can easily turn of with eset.

Also i think if you clean hard drive and registry errors then defrag both you'll see some sorta boost in speed. hopefully you'l get round to some of the options i laid out 4 ya because i think it wil help speed up ya system.

let me know how things go.. but like i say its best to backup system b4 hand incase some random problem occurs.. good luck
