Greetings all, from the sandbox in Afg. I am running W7 on a 2 year old Toshiba. I was using IE8. Increasingly, if I go to open a second or third tab, I get the following malfunction and warning: iexplore.exe - There is not enough referenced memory 0x043c52b7 to open 0x0000003eb. Click ok to close the program.

Sometimes when I click to close, it actually closes. Other times it closes quickly and then the tab bounces right back and opens the page I wanted. The rest of the time it starts a repetitive and aggravating repeat of the close window that I cannot destroy, and have to do a hard boot to get out.

Thinking it was a possible registry problem, I ran a cleaner and of course deleted all recent IE links, cookies, memory etc. Problem persisted. I then upgraded to IE9, and then to IE10 hoping that would correct the malfunction, but, no dice and here I am asking my first question.

I appreciate any help to clear up this aggravating little pest!

    Thank You!

    Steve

Does the same thing happen when you start Internet Explorer without add-ons?

You can start Internet Explorer without add-ons by selecting Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) from Start Menu > All programs > Accessories > System Tools.

Hi Steve, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

Since IE10 runs fine with all the add-ons disabled, open IE10 and click Tools< Manage add-ons and disable each add-on one at a time until you find the culprit that is causing the problem.
