IEE1394 Bus Host Controller has! in device mgr.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I am well aquainted with the motto:

"If it ain't broke, fix it anyway and make it worse. "

I'm afraid I can't stick by that motto. After a number of shut downs and re-starts, the IEEE 1394 connection is remaining stable and working as advertised.

I did the shut downs and re-starts specifically to duplicate the failure and try to repair using the various fixes proposed and discussed.

This is a case of failure by failing to fail.

This is now moot, at least until another failure presents itself. I'm going to print out this post, save it for future use. Hopefully this failure to fail will continue, but if not, as Arnold says, "Ill be back "
