IE interaction with GMail

    This is my first posting so please bear with me.

    I have recently converted from Outlook Express to GMail. When I receive an e-mail from an Outlook Express client I can not read using FireFox, but if I use IE8 I can read it but with some characters changed to an equal sign (=).

    Any thoughts.

    IE interaction with GMail = sign

    I believe the reason is the priority message format of OE. I went the other way, from GMail to OE, and I have no problem reading OE messages.
