For no apparent reason, my IE 7 suddenly stopped opening when I started my computer today. I can use firefox, but some of my links will only work with IE so I still need it. I do NOT want to upgrade to IE8.

Ran spybot and malware bytes and nothing found. Also use AOL, and that opens and seems to be functioning properly. I downloaded highjackthis and it didn't pick up anything that needed attention.

Tried to open from start-programs-accessories-no addins, but still won't open

    Suggestions? Help, please

Only thing kids did yesterday was show me their facebook pages - nothing downloaded, though.

    Need some advice here.

Hi horvie. Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

Try this, click Start< Control Panel< Network and Internet Connections< Internet Options< Advanced Tab< Reset Button. Selecting that button will reset Internet Explorer to its default state. After its finished, reboot the computer and see if Internet Explorer 7 opens. If it still doesn't open then IE7 could have become corrupted, so in that case try Reinstalling Internet Explorer 7.
