I have Windows 2k & XP on one partition - why can't I delete the partition?

    Thank you - I'm going to install HD as slave in other tower and go from there! Let u know how it goes!

    I'm gonna simplify it and put in new hard drive. The only tower I have that I can use to slave it - is my brand new PC, with a warranty. So - thank you for your help. I'm still going to hang on to this hard drive until I get more hardware for a complete system. I'll make sure to post the results. Thank you again!!!

    I've just came across your other thread regarding boot failure, assuming it's the same system have you confirmed the BIOS is detecting your hard drive properly? It may not make a difference but I'd double check and consider a Hard Drive failure as a possibility (I'd suggest changing the battery but note you've already done that).

    This system really has made you break sweat, yes ;)
