While on my laptop if I want to go to a different site or check my email or just want to click on a highlighted subject my curer will not show the little hand that you should see but i will click it anyway because my arrow is on it.. The min I click on there a window at the top of screen starts to open so hurry up and click on the little X mark so it won't open. then I will go back to were I wanted to click on in the first place and now it will show the little hand I click it and it goes right where it is suppose to.

I hope this is a better explanation so you can answer my question

    Thanks in advance

    And where might that be?

    And where is there?

    (We can't see your screen).

As Doc has suggested, please try and explain in clarity exactly WHAT you are doing and we might be able to help. Neil.

Hi quickcutters, are you using your Touchpad or a mouse?

I have a HP Notebook with a wireless mouse and the cursor is an arrow head.
If I move the cursor onto a live link - the arrow head will change to a hand.
This is normal operation. A non-active link and the cursor will still be an arrow head.
If you click on the hand on an active link you will open another web-page and then you will need to close it - if you did this by mistake.
I hope this is what you wanted to know.

retiredlearner, It does not matter where I am or what I want to click on I can have my cursor on any active link and the cursor stays a arrow head it won't change to the hand but I will click on it anyway and it starts to load but before it does load I hurry up and click the little X by it so it won't load. So I at that same screen and i will take cursor back to where I click and the little hand will be there, so I click it and end up where I was going in the first place. I just get so tired of heaving to do it that away every time I want to browse. Just like when I get ready to summit this to you and I hoover over the submit reply it will be a arrow so I will click it and when it starts to open something else I will stop it by clicking the x then I will go back to submit reply and it will show the hand I will click it and you will get this message.
I am using a mouse that is plugged into laptop which I am using windows 8 wireless with router. Your first sentence Yes that's the was it suppose to be but It's not.
If your wonder what it is that is always going to load up it's the WHOOP'S blabla something like that. FF could be causing this I guess. I disabled my touch pad and only use mouse but it was like that before also.

    Thanks for your time.

Why do you "hurry up and click the little X by it so it won't load. "?

If it is a Firefox problem, resetting Firefox may be all that's needed.

Click Here for instructions on how to do that.

I do this because it takes me to that WHOOPS page it's a warning page and every time i have let it go ahead load that's how i know.

I'm going to try what the other poster said with FF. Sure hope that works.

Special thanks with everyone trying to help me.

If Miz's suggestion doesn't work, I'm beginning to think you need a trip to Broni. (Malware Forum).
It sounds like you're being directed to another site. Neil.

Thank everyone for your help I think the resetting of FF did it. It's not been doing it since I did that and got rid of all kinds of stuff that I had no idea what it was.

    Thank you very much.
