OK, your PSU is dedicated HP obviously so you will live with that. If you've removed your card and the graphics are working on the onboard graphics, how does the DVD player work - does it freeze or stutter? I would need to know your BIOS manufacturer before advising where to look. Test your player to see how it's operating before worrying about the BIOS.

PSU was replaced by a higher wattage. Graphics card has not been removed since installed some time ago. DVD player will take a few minutes to boot up, then play inserted DVD film, few seconds on freezes then continue for another few seconds, freeze. This repeats until computer close down.
BIOS, will need to check. Bobby.

If the software is uninstalled, the graphics will be either generic MS drivers or Windows has found and installed Nvidia drivers. Device Manager will show what drivers are in use.
What we need to establish is whether the card is functioning 100% and whether the onboard graphics is in use. If you can shut down your comp and open the case and remove the 630 card. Restart your comp and see how it plays the DVD video. If it still freezes, then refit the card and reinstall the Nvidia software and check again whether the DVD video plays OK. If no improvement - then it will eliminate the graphics as the cause.

    BIOS 5.40 American Megatrends Inc.v.02.61 1985-2009.
If graphics card is removed? where is monitor connected. There is only one other similar socket (not coloured blue) located near the mono sockets. Removal of card last time proved as unmoveable, as a check was being carried out to ensure secure seating of the card. Device Manager : 2 entries. 1. Driver provider - [Microsoft]. 2. Display adapters [ NIVIDIA GeForce GT630]. Bobby.

Correct. This is where you would connect your Monitor to use the onboard graphics. The quote from HP specs indicates that when you plug in a card - it switches off the onboard drivers.
You will need to remove your 630 card and connect your monitor cable to the connector between the SPDIF and 1394 connectors.

Device manager showed an unknown device that proved to be Intel Family USB Universal Host Controller 2931. Clicking update driver, MS caption showed an error and unable to update. Uninstall of this device and reinstall of software, MS still maintains an error. DVD player is actually worse when NVidia software is removed and picture quality worse. Bobby.

Re-install your card and the latest driver software from Nvidia and see if there is any improvement. You may have to visit HP for your motherboard drivers unless they have update drivers for USB Host Controller separate.

I visited HP, checked software updates and downloaded Intel original Graphics card driver. However this showed after few moments that my current system is not applicable, cancelling install. I presume that Windows 10 is main reason,
I have tried several different Videos, each start much quicker now, however they all start, stop, some quite long before stopping, pausing and again continue. strangely all appear to stop in each individual video at the same parts. Probably I am entirely wrong, would say memory of graphics card is around 256mb when used with Win 7.

Just had a look at HP Support and the link should be read and ALL headings expanded to read the info. HP Desktop PCs - Installing Windows 10 | HP® Customer Support
Mention is given about the need for DivX 10 being required and getting the latest Apps from the Store to ensure your HP Desktop works properly after the upgrade to W10.

As I mentioned to you in my PM, you're obviously not keen at trying, I would make sure that you have Windows Update KB30355583 installed and make a 10 min Video with your Camera or Phone transfer it to your HD and play it, see what happens, if it does the same, at least you know it is not your CD/DVD burner.
I feel that then you have to consider buying a new Video Card, or better still if you can borrow one to test.
You have just about exhausted all your other options in my opinion, but ultimately it is up to you what you do.

It is preferrable to keep all suggestions and instructions in the thread. If not, withholding information from other posters/helpers may create confusion.

One digit too many in that one.

Checked Update History no mention of KB3035583 and a search produced not found. Can this KB be found where? and download. History dates from 11/08/2016. hawk22, where is the PM you refer too.I do not possess a Video or Phone. Graphics card has a very low memory of 256KB as to the newer cards of 2GB+ and this could the cause, based on iPlayer stopping at times to refresh cache.

DVD/CD player now opens faster, "freeze-start-freeze" prevails.
