Things I would like to remove from the Open With menu:
    • Photos
    • Windows Photo Viewer
For those who don't offer a solution and want to ask why:
    • I'm obsessive compulsive about clutter on my computer.
    • I've used computers 22 years and have no use for them.
    • They make the Open With menu longer with no benefit..
    • I'm 70 years old and not going to change my mind.
Hint #1: There is no uninstall option for these programs in Programs and Features.
Hint #2: It is going to require a registry edit.
Hint #3: I have already found several sites that claim to have the proper solution; but, none of their registry edits have worked.

Yes. It does not work for the specified programs.

. . .you should also be aware that some built-in Microsoft programs cannot be removed this way. Both Microsoft Paint and Photos are included on the “Open With” menu. Even if we remove those entries . . . the programs will remain on the “Open With” menu.

Windows Photo Manager is another (not mentioned) that cannot be removed with this method.
