No we are not in the fast lane. Lots of other places are way faster. But DSL and Cable are the same no matter where you are. :D

Yes I for one feel deeply sorry for you, so much for modern technology. Not all parts of the UK receive fast downloads and in parts like the North nothing at all, depending on satellite with Sky network.

Talk about speed - I was wanting to download an earlier version of my Samsung Galaxy S4 Firmware yesterday and the DL offered was going to take 2hrs 57mins for 1.4GB or I could pay for a Premium ($6.00 USD/mth) and get DL in 36 seconds!!!
What a 'Ripper'!! You know you're old when you refuse that sort of offer/bribe and keep searching for a 'free' deal.
We are lucky here in NZ as there are many Broadband 'deals' to choose from according to your pocket and needs.
We still have Kiwi's complaining about Broadband speeds though. It depends on where you live and naturally the further you are away from the major hubs - the slower the Broadband because UFB (fibre-optic cable) isn't installed there.
It's funny how people choose to live in low cost remote areas and still expect high speed deliveries. ;) Neil.

I downloaded a 10GB file, this took from 3pm to 5am is this a record? According to ISPs it is the time that you are on that they complain about, well in my experience. On this the lower download rate they give you, the more they can pull you up for. I am fortunate in a way, that my ISP has no monthly limit.
