Lately, when I access Thunderbird for my email, this window pops up, no matter which of my email addresses I'm attempting to access (gmail, hotmail, or outlook): upload_2020-10-31_16-8-2.png

I can't seem to get rid of it for more than a few seconds, and it prevents me from accessing my email. What do you recommend to solve this problem?

Do you have them linked together as they will get the mail from one another? That is what it looks like.

No, they're not linked together, but they are my email addresses I access through Thunderbird.

They are all IMAP. Sometimes, when I log on, Win10 shows me a You Got Mail icon that takes me to Outlook, but I don't use that.

I was able to get rid of the popup by deleting 3 I Got Mail Outlook icons in my hidden icons on the taskbar. Maybe the issue is getting Outlook to stop trying to take over.

Now, when I do anything with Thunderbird, the popup appears, but at least I can exit out of it.

Have you checked in TB Help?
    Are all your settings correct?
I wonder whether a MS update has changed things.
Quite often after an update on this HP Notebook the volume on my speakers has gone full scale 60 where I normally have the control set at 2.

Everything looks OK, other than this Mail notification that has been popping up for a while now. As long as I make sure all those icons are gone, I can access Thunderbird. How do I get that notification to stop? It seems to want to open all my email accounts in Microsoft Outlook, though I don't use Microsoft Outlook for anything.

I opened up Microsoft Outlook, and it isn't even set up on my computer.

Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Mail > Thunderbird?
If so, I'm out of ideas.

Even though it isn't set up? It's on my computer as part of the Microsoft Office 2007 suite.

The popup hasn't appeared since Thunderbird updated to Thunderbird 78.

I still don't see the popup, so I guess it had to do with the transition to Thunderbird 78. All is fine, now.
