One more tweek guys. I cannot get my McAfee firewall to run. I've been through msconfig and checked it to start but it won't. When I try to start it from the program by clicking on the icon that looks like a chess piece "McAfee Firewall encountered an error attempting to start the Firewall service.
The wait operation timed out." THank you.

Last I knew, you reported this same thing yet the HJT log showed it was running. Are there any instances of CPD.EXE running in processes of task manager? If so and checking the program itself still says it's not, I think the best thing to do would be uninstall and reinstall the program, offline of course.

 

No CPD.exe running in processes in task manager. I'll reinstall off line. Thank you. Have a great Easter!
