Weather radar works in FF1.03, after copy/pasting NPOJI610.dll, but no coffee cup. Who is the Duke. I must either be ignorant, or missed a link(same thing!)
so far the other NS7.2, which originally was showing the map, but does not show anything. Now, after setting about:config item to true, I am getting the map, but no animation.

    Hi fulvio,

    simple things first:

Duke is the little Logo that dances when you have Java installed correctly on your machine. ( on the test page refered to WAY above)

The about:config entry I referred to has NO effect on how Java functions, it just displayes the full pathe in about; plugins.

Sorry that I can't be more help.

I can not give any suggestions regarding others installlations as something is definitely different from my installation.

As I stated, I have NO Java plugins in ANY programs Plugins folders on my machine.

    regards:captjlddavis

I found the Duke (or duck). At this point it is hard to tell, since I copied and paste the Mozilla plugins folder. And, all is is well.
I summary, Moz1.7.7 received the files, while none of the other programs did. So, when uninstalled the previous version, only Moz worked. The different programs had different number of files. I expected that Firefox have none, but somehow both 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 had at least one file. I am not sure what was really needed, but neither one worked until I got all the Moz files. Two programs worked, and had no files, The 1.8b2 Firefox nightly and NS8 beta.
I have also a 7.02 which I had forgotten about, and it received all the new files.
I, most likely will throw out all those .dll file which are in FF1.0.3 and 1.0.4.
In any event this java stuff is exhausting, especially with me, having so many programs.
I never had a program without java .dll files, and never had to do a thing about it till v.5. Did I learn anything? No way!

I had a problem with FF1.03, which was found to reside in the profile. Those darned extentions and themes! In the menatime, I threw out all the .dll Java file, and there is no problem. Is Duke a penguin?
