    I have Office/Outlook 2007.

I set up a new folder called MiscSave in Outlook so I could move a select Incoming mail to this new folder.

When I right click an individual message and select Move to Folder, I get a small pop up showing the From name, date, etc. and an underline at the top that I can type in (kinda like a memo?).

No matter what I try, I can't get past the box and it doesn't Move the message.

    How can I fix this?

Have you tried to just drag it to the folder?

    Mr. Bill,

    Just 1 more question:

Is it possible to just COPY the email to another folder and leave the original in place?
(I know sometimes you can hold down a control key when you are doing an operation that might somehow accomplish this).

The CTRL key will highlight all that you click on, Shift will highlight a bunch of them in a row. Don't know if that will work in Office 07 as I don't have that version. I know that it works in WLM.

To me dragging them is faster than clicking on one and then click something else to tell it what to do and where to go.

    MrBill,

Neither the CTRL or SHIFT help to copy to a new folder and leave the original in place but I realize I can forward the select email to myself and then move the copy to another folder without removing the original.

    Work ok.

What I am referring to is dragging them to the new folder not copy or move them with anything else. One click and drag of the mouse and it/they are moved.

Instead of using and holding the left mouse button when dragging the msg to a new folder - use the RIGHT mouse button.

When releasing the button a pop up menu should appear giving you the option of either moving the msg (same as using left button) or to COPY it
    :)

Thanks guys both your suggestions work GREAT!

    1. Left click, drag and drop to Move or

    2. Right click, select Copy to just Copy

    Have a great week,

    Rob
