Help to free up RAM

    Please list all of the hardware (CPU, Motherboard, Video Card, Drives) in your computer including the power supply and the amps it has for the 3 different voltages. (3.3, 5.0 and 12 volts lines)

    It will help us quite a bit.

    You have plenty of RAM. If you have stuttering MP3s, even while surfing the net, you have some other problems. What program do you use to listen to your MP3s?

    One thing that might be worth trying.

    One of the poor design features of USB is that the resource are allocated to devices based on the order they are connected and not on the requirement of the device. (This is true of the origin USB system, it may not be the case with USB 2.) Therefore, if your USB modem was added rather late in the day, you might find it isn't being assigned much of the Univesal Serial Bus resources.

    I'd recommend uninstalling your USB printer, USB modem, and any other USB devices. Then install the USB modem, and see if your streaming media play better.

    Have you tested your system with the AV software disabled?
