Before I forget, your computer appears to be clean. :) Geri has posted some very helpful information and recommendations regarding future protection in the following link.

It appears that your connection to the router remains good, since an IP address is still assigned. It also appears that a dns address is being passed from the ISP through the router. In other words, I don't see a problem.

Can you bypass the router and connect directly to the modem as a test? What kind of modem do you have? Have you tried resetting both the modem and the router?

    Ahh....

So far what I can tell you is... it can't be the router infact I don't think its a problem with the router or modem because my brother's computer is hooked up to the same thing and his internet works fine. I have linux on my computer too, so when I restart my computer I have options to start in windows or linux. When I use linux, I don't have any problems staying on the internet. Also, I remember before I had problems with my firefox and deleted it. When I tried reinstalling it again just now, my computer shuts off when I click to run it. It's werid!!! :(

    Blah blah..

Hi, just thought I'd update you on what I've been doing. With the help of one of my dorky AIM buddies, I found out that I am connected through 4 routers. I've just tried connecting directly to the modem and I'm still having problems staying online. :(

Go here and use the Product Identification link to see if there are updated drivers available for the LAN connection.

    Updated Driver

Okay, I updated my driver. I guess my connection is working a little better, I can't really tell if its because I did that or maybe its something else. But yeah, that's neat didn't know about updating drivers. :p

Glad to hear drivers have helped. :)

I've got a few errands to run. I'll be back later to review and finish up. If there's anything else we need to address, let me know.

Looks like we've already done most of the cleanup already. I do see you're behind on your Java though. Old versions are exploitable if left installed, so I recommend you uninstall all Java (JRE) entries listed in Add/Remove programs, then delete the contents of the C:\Program Files\Java folder. You can get the latest version of Java here.

Your computer is now clean! Geri has posted some very helpful information and recommendations regarding future protection in the following link.

I just wanted to give you a follow up on what's been happening with "Anna's Computer ". Well, I've learned that on my brother's computer the connection has been dropping out. So, yes comcast better get their ass over my house to fix it. We've actually had some problems in the past that were never fully taken care of by the comcast people. They ****! I'm going to get that update you just told me about in that last post. Also, I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help. And if you're ever in NJ and need a hot date (lol) I'm 20 years old and single. Hehehe..... :)
