HD bad sectors!!

    why is that?

    Because each and every OEM machine may well have their own way of doing things.

    Even different models from the same manufacture.

    Some of them may even have a special partition on the HD that contains various items needed for the specific system. I understand that they may be getting away from that but I do not know.
