Solved Google redirect trouble.

    I get the same message from that website, telling me nothing has been found. I am selecting WINDOWS as the platform but I don't see why it's not downloading.

    Well Chum, it looks as if we've knocked this thing on the head. Thanks so very much for your help. Tell me though; I now have SuperantiSpyware, HijackThis, Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Host Experts, JavaRa and TFC downloaded. Which of these should I keep for future use or maintainance and should I bother trying to reload AVG Free version. I have always had it and considered it a low resource, handy tool. Should I be relying on something else? Does anybody offer a free scanner that offers real-time removal of malware?

    Right now, you don't have any antivirus installed, and I don't recommend AVG anymore.
    Please, download, and install one of these:

    - Avira free antivirus: http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html
    - Avast! free antivirus: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

    - free PC Tools Antivirus: http://www.pctools.com/free-antivirus/
    - free PC Tools Firewall Plus: http://www.pctools.com/firewall/

    - free Comodo Internet Security (firewall + AV): http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
    NOTE. During installation, Comodo will also allow you to install AV only, or firewall only, if you prefer to combine one Comodo product with some other product.

    If you decide to install Avast, or Avira, make sure, Windows firewall is turned on, or use PC Tools Firewall Plus, or Comodo firewall..
    If you decide to install Comodo Internet Security, or just Comodo firewall, make sure, Windows firewall is turned off.

    IMPORTANT! Make sure, you use only ONE antivirus, and ONE firewall.


    Super, and 'Bytes are two best antimalware tools on the market - keepers.
    Run monthly scans, or if you see your computer misbehaving.
    Always make sure, you update those programs, first.
    You should use TFC weekly to clean all garbage out.
    You don't need HostExperts, nor JavaRa. All newer java updates uninstall previous version automatically.
