I've been using BBS for a relatively short while and it has been very helpful as being retired I now have the time to get beyond just sending emails on my computer.
I think that one of the things that attracts someone to a particular forum is the range of topics covered in the sub-forums and obviously the effectiveness of the interaction in those forums.
If a topic is not specifically covered in the forum either it can be discussed in general discussion or one can go to another forum. In the case of the former that is not very convenient as one then has to sift through the various posts to find a similar topic. In the case of the latter it is simply not that convenient.
It's for that reason that I post this to enquire as to the feasibility of widening your sub-forums to include problems with MS Office.
I realize that BBS has thousands of members who have their own aspirations and there must be a limit (I'd like cantonese cookery hints too!).
But recently when set up a library inventory it occurred to me that a lot of people like myself need basic assistance with Word, excel etc. I did look at other forums dealing specifically dealing with excel but was put off by the fact that they were so specialized and were into the esoteric world of VBA and macros etc. as well as other topics way beyond the understanding of mere mortals like myself.
Most of us use office to one degree or another, and I don't know about anyone else but I always get the feeling that even at a relatively basic level there is a lot more I can get out of Word, Excel and indeed the other facilities in Office. For your information ,I'm running Office 2007 and I reckon that 90% of it is a mystery to me.
I'd like to hear the view of the Administrators on this as well as any members who might have something to say on the subject.

This a nonspecific forum where you can ask Office questions. There are quite a few answers in there already.

    Ditto to the above:cool:

Other Software Post questions here about stuff not directly related to a specific OS (Applications, Games).

WindowsBBS.com is primarily a Windows Operating System site with a welll rounded selection of other topic areas.

When a site starts slitting things out - its hard to know where to stop-> Meaning probably at least ¼ if not more of the members here use Open Office - the free alternative to MS Office.
