Done, can you tell me why i needed to uninstall utorrent, java and spybot, i can see there is some sort of conflict for spybot in the Event viewer but i want to put it back as i use this.

There is and was a reason for firefox outdated, the updated version was even worse with the problems it was so sensitive, plus i don't like the new version and will see how this fix goes before i update.

There was no IDE Channel in the Plug and Play, and there was no wireless adapter in network connections, can i uninstall or disable any that's not needed in this screenshot here

The yellow exclamation marks are as a result of the fixes.

Would i need to undo the tweaks for FF which can be found here,

You could try a System Restore. Just to see if it will bring you back to before any of the changes were made to your computer.

    Utorrent will chew your bandwith.
Java was outdated, you can reinstall if you need it.
Spybot is useless and uses ram.

The items in your device manager are fine, no more need to do anything there.

As far as the tweaks to firefox, those are fine you can leave that alone.

I would also uninstall AVG use the removal tool, then reinstall it fresh, AVG is known to slow down or crash internet connections after time.

Prior to reinstalling AVG test how things are. Let me know what issues remain. :)

I only used utorrent as and when needed and not in startup, java will leave until if needed and spybot was for a weekly check and not using the tea timer thing so wasn't running and not running at startup.

I uninstalled AVG with the above method as it was still having the problem but not as much, reinstalled AVG and was doing its first scan and the radio was cutting out a lot and tabs were hanging/freezing when they were loading.

CPU usage was up and down a bit while running Avg with AVG FF and Flash player using most of the CPU, also did a speed test and no problems there, just going to blow all the dust out, other than that i don't know, is there a FF removal tool thats like the AVG one?

Things have calmed down a bit, but the problems are still here, anymore suggestions.

I was wondering whether the graphics card could be causing some instabilities, like power usage, could it be using more than needed and taking power away from the motherboard and windows system and destabilizing it, or slowing it down, just a thought, so any insight welcome before i start opening it up.

There are different models. Why not go to Dell Support and Auto Detect the machine or post the Service Tag. Do you have another known working graphics card that you can swap out. Just to test to see if that fixes the problem. If that card works to your satisfaction then possibly the card that is in the machine now could be starting to fail and needs to be replaced.
