Firefox won't open...

Hello! I seem to have the same troubles as this person did in this post:

I did what Ramona suggests but I'm still having problems with Firefox not opening for me. Going through the task manager and shutting down the program then starting it again doesn't work and still nothing happens. In order for me to get Firefox to open and work again, I must restart my computer, And there are times when I have to restart my computer several times before Firefox (or even IE) will open. Does anyone know why this happens?

First of all, what version of Firefox are you using? Also, did you make the changes to the settings in about:config?

 

Hi Ramona, I am using Firefox 3.0.7.
Yes, I did make those changes in the about:config. I have also uninstalled and installed Firefox. But, no such luck.

I did a virus/spyware check and nothing comes up on my computer.

 

O.K., great! Try creating a new Profile for Firefox. Don't transfer anything to the new Profile, just use it as a test for Firefox opening in the new Profile.

 

How do you create a new profile for Firefox? I can find the default profile, but not where I can create a new one.
