That's exactly what Launchy does in FF and TBird, along with other features.

 I like the sound of a cool little button to allow me Opera/FF

Well, JSS3rd you certainly do know a lot of things about FF/Mozilla builds and have clarified the 'open source' aspect to me now.
Your knowledge in the whole scenario surrounding actual builds/aviary builds is definitely a lot more than I even considered about the reasons for these releases etc

I guess I have just been an IE/Avant user for the time I have had my computer which leaves me a little more reserved about the other browsers.
I know I worry about things which is my nature (sorry) but through all my 'homework' about the alternatives I now feel I have gained something by actually wanting to install and use the other browsers.

I know I will need some extensions and I really do want a pretty skin for FF! Opera is pretty and I have been learning everyday about how it works on my computer. I will definitely want the button to allow for render in either browser.
My main PC is IE/Avant only at the moment therefore FF would be the only alternative when installed.

Sorry if my posts have been full of worries and doubts but I do get there in the end and am a lot happier when I know any of my little doubts are unfounded. I am just not the type of person to dive right in.............I get there eventually. Thanks for all your patience.
