Lately, whenever I activate Firefox the application will apply and then snap back and re-apply. Plus on many occasions when leaving Firefox for another application and after that app is going, it will stop and go back to Firefox for no reason. Using Win11 and PC.

What FF version are you running?
Mine is up to date 116.0.2 64bit.
As rsinfo suggested, running Safe Mode is your first step.

FF version is same as yours. What is odd is that I could be working in another program such as logging in or even working in a word processor app and BANG the app will quit and I am back into my home page in FF.

Have you checked all your Power connections as a bad connection could cause your problem.

It may also mean that something is wrong with Windows. Run "Error Checking" from Tools AFTER rebooting your system.

    Ran SFC -
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

Will let you know if fixed.

Are your Graphic Drivers up to date?
    Does your RAM test OK?
In FF > Help > Troubleshoot Mode. All Extensions and Add ons are disabled.
Does the problem occur in Troubleshoot Mode?
If not, apply the Extensions one at a time till the Problem occurs.
This will show if there is a compatibility problem.

Did you just ran sfc /scannow by itself or DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth before that ?

Running sfc /scannow without running dism wouldn't solve problems.

I don't think sfc or dism will fix FF corruption.
The Windows OS will be checked and repaired but compatibility issues with Ext/Addons to FF need to be corrected.
A fresh install of FF may be the answer.
Correct me if I'm on the wrong track.

You are now having shut downs in Chrome and Edge Browsers?
    How does your Modem/Router operate?
Is your comp connected by cable or wireless?

There are no Shut Downs per say just interruptions. I could be working in Amazon or another App and bang - I'm back in my browser. Happens in FF, Chome or Edge.

This "interruption" occurs when you are using your internet connection?
Seems like your internet connection is the problem.
    How old is your Modem/Router?
Has the unit had any updates?
