    Hello Everyone,
I am very new to all of this.
My problem is this: On my laptop, my home page always ran just fine. Then part of it changed from showing the pictured announcement leading to a video on a next page. Also below a spot where a picture with a lead to a next page also is no longer showing. In both spaces only the words will show.

I went onto our home computer to check my home page there, all IS AS IT SHOULD BE WITH ALL PICTURES SHOWING FINE. So....why on my laptop is it showing differently???

I have ran all kinds of security ect., everythings shows good. My son said maybe the system is now to slow to load properly. I purched Registry Easy, ran all, with no difference on home page..ALSO, ONCE I GO TO NEXT PAGE, IT LOADS BUT WITH ERRORS ON IT, THEN AS SOON AS I CLICK ANYTHING IT FREEZES. THE ONLY WAY OUT IS TO DO TASK MANAGER AND START ALL OVER.

Hopefully some one has an answer for me. I have an older compaq,windowsxp-professonal on it.

    Thank you!!!

Which Operating System (windows XP/Vista etc) are you using so we can move your post there?

Hi Colleen, it would help if you posted your 'System Details'
If this is your main system it would be helpful if you add your system details to your profile. Please click on the link and follow those instructions it could save some time when resolving this or further issues.

A common error is to forget to show your system details in your profile
    Quote:
To have your system specifications displayed in your profile, you have to click the link Edit Options, and under Thread Display Options > System Specifications select Yes from the drop-down menu.
If you do add your system specifications be sure to do the above

You may have to try System Restore to a time before the problem as the Regitry cleaner may have upset things. Neil.

    Hi Colleen,

A couple other bits of info might help. What browser are you using? What are the exact error messages that you are getting? And what is the home page? Did you change anything (hardware/software) on the computer before this started? Anything additional you can give us would be helpful. Thanks.

I will edit your title, you need to describe the problem as accurately as you can. Read in the forum rules
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/rules.php

Does it go quite well apart from the webpages errors?

You need to answer the questions. Putting the system details in your WindowsBBS user profile will save you repeating them in the future
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/adding_system_specifications.html

I know you would just like a quick solution, but we know nothing about your computer.

If I get errors in the browser I update Java
    www.java.com
and the Adobe Flash Player first

Hello Everyone, thank you for your response.
I just posted my system specs as you suggested on the profile section. I'm not sure if I post this you all see this, I hope so. I'll wait to hear from some one before I try to do anything else to my laptop. Thank you all so much for trying to help me, as I really know nothing about how computer things are supposed to run. I posted as much specs as I could see, the rest I don't know how to find for you.

    Hi Colleen,

You may have to try and enter your system specs again, they did show up. You should see "My System" under your name (see my post) if it is done correctly.

That being said, did you try updating Java and Flash Player as Mattman suggested? Please go through the replies to your question and answer the questions asked as good as possible. That will help everyone to see where we're at with this. Thanks.

Double-check this section of the instructions to add your specs
