New Dell desktop PC, Windows 11, Dell USB mouse

Drag and Drop does not work in Windows Explorer and some other apps. I mainly use it in Windows Explorer. Tried second Dell USB mouse same result. Copy and Paste works fine. All 3 of the following suggestions I found online from Google search did not resolve problem:

    1. Registry Entry Check
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>DESKTOP correctly shows Drag Height 4, Drag Width 4

    2. Mouse Click Lock
This is correctly disabled at Windows Settings>Bluetooth & Devices > Mouse > Additional Mouse Settings

    3. Reset corrupted Windows entries - None were found running:
    CMD Run as Admin
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    sfc /scannow

    Any other suggestions appreciated.

    Define "Does Not Work."

Are you RIGHT Clicking on the file to Move/Copy/Create Shortcut ?

"Does Not Work" meant no movement of a file name when attempting to drag it to a different folder in Windows Explorer. My drag request was effectively being ignored.

Turns out you are correct. These cheap Dell mice that came with the PC, not ones I usually use, were so sensitive that just barely resting my middle finger on the right click button was enough to affect drag and drop when the LEFT clicking to drag and drop. Raising my middle finger off the right click button entirely (annoying ergonomics so I'll be switching back to a preferred Logitech wireless mouse) resolved the problem.

Give that man a cigar! And thank you.
