downloads freeze

    I did all those things with the network connections except fixing that entry. how do I go about doing that, do I just run HJT? so far no difference though.
    I go to update that zone alarm and it just stays on 2% of zlssetup....... etc

    I see how to fix that entry now, but it didn't show up, only these were on the scan

    FYI, I can't download alot of things, however I don't have a problem downloading when using a bittorrent client. Very frustrating.

    Do you have Bittorrent or some other p2p app running while trying to download? Could be a problem. Try making sure that no p2p processes are running and download something.

    no I wasn't running bittorent or a p2p. I think I may have solved the problem.
    I was able to download the download manager flashnet. I was then able to download the zone alarm update and adaware. I then ran the adaware scan and things seem ok now. I can now download without flashnet also. It appears adaware removed something causing the problem but maybe just a coincidence?
