I say enjoy, but please remember for anything downloaded from the net (like individually uploaded themes on Theme Doctor), scan the downloaded file (and with ZIP files, the extracted downloaded file) with your Virus Scanner and read the EULA (if it has one) before saying OK to install. I would also run Spybot Search & Destroy after installing to make sure nothing unwanted was installed along with it.

Unfortunately, these extra precautions are necessary in today's environment. But at least they don't take that long, and we still get to enjoy many themes, the vast majority of which are offered by folks who enjoy making them and are not involved with advertising or mischief.

By the way, if you're using WinZip with XP, turn off the theme installation in the WinZip options panel. It only works 100% with 9x, and this gives you the chance to extract the file and scan it first before dropping it into your theme's folder (which you create in the Plus!\Themes directory).

    Thanks

Thanks so much for all that information regarding themes. I am going to look at the site you recommend, and will be very careful before downloading. It is people like me who are a bit green about such things that get caught, but once bitten twice shy.
