Do you have a widescreen? If so, you likely have a 16:9 screen ratio, in whcih case the 4:3 ratio of 1280x1024 should not be used.

    There is no 1280 x 764 resolution.
The closest one would be 1280 x 768. which is 5:3 aspect.

    What is your Samsung model?

    I don't understand something here.
    Your monitor does support 1280 x 764 (5:4 ratio)resolution, which belongs to 4:3 family.
1280 x 768 (5:3 ratio)belong to wide-screen family, so after restart, you must have some black margins at the top and at the bottom?

Most likely, if your card drivers are up to date, is that the resolution you chose isn't compatible with your monitor, have you tried 1280x960?

    Sorry I missed that.

Please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions!

1280 x 1024 is the native resolution for your 723N monitor. In your case I would double check the ATI driver & settings.

    No, sorry.

    We'd need more info.

    1. Did this start recently?
    2. Was it working OK before?
    3. New monitor?

and again, enter your system details as asked for.
